'Berserk' India driver kills nine
A bus driver has smashed his vehicle into traffic and people on the streets within the western Indian town of Pune, killing nine people and hurting 27 others.
The motive force broken 40 automobiles prior to the bus was introduced to some halt after half an hour and police arrested him.
The motive force, named as Santosh Maruti Mane, "went berserk" on the 25km (17 mile) rampage throughout the morning hurry hour, police stated.
University student Sharif Ibrahim Kutty was one of the a couple who leaped in to the moving bus and stopped the motive force.
Mr Kutty told a nearby TV funnel he began chasing after public transit if this went on the lady along with a child after which hit a vehicle.
"There have been two cops on the motorbike, they fired in the bus to try and take it to some halt, however the bullets skipped the tyres. Public transit then went within the cops and broke with the police barricade.
"About this road, he wiped out about eight people," Mr Kutty stated.
"He then hit a vehicle again, before he could accelerate, I leaped in to the moving bus. Another guy came aboard and that we pulled the motive force from the bus."
Pune police chief Meeran Borwankar told reporters: "We do not know why the motive force socialized such as this. He just went berserk. We are attempting to discover the main reason.
"People came forward and literally put children from the road. He was in this harmful mood. Ultimately he occured [by police] however the damage continues to be tremendous," she stated.
